Sila in Buddhism is one of three sections of the Noble Eightfold Path. Virtue, is based off two fundamental principles, the principle of equality and reciprocity.
Virtue is The ultimate good balance, The foundation of a moral being. I abstracted this idea of balance and equality into this piece.
The visuals are an inspiration and mix of both Baroque architecture and Miami’s 1970 Art Deco
Process
I 3D modeled the large structures in Cinema 4D, I sculpted a lot of the details on the columns in ZBrush, UVd everything in Maya and made the textures in Substance painter. I then surfaced everything in C4D using octane shaders.
Finally, it was all lit and rendered using the Octane render engine.
